During the Terrarium workshop Monika managed to make filmmakers having much more clear idea of their scripts and treatments just in two days. It was absolutely obvious when they did the public pitching after her training. The specific of her approach is that she can immediately not only understand but feel the author and his/her story, giving him/her advices and choices, asking about characters and structure, without breaking the initial idea and in full respect to the authors. I took part in Terrarium workshop (Odessa International Film Festival 2015). It was really exciting and helpful for my full-length movie script "Fofudja TV". Monika Franczak is the high-class professional! First of all I was inspired by Monika's passion and energy. She loves cool cinema and knows so much in this topic. Monika gave us this energy. There are many sophisticated books for screenwriting technique, but only the awesome person could give you real inspiration. Probably Monika Franczak is that kind of person.

I met Monika at Odessa film festival during the script workshop, where Monika took part as a script-couch. She had quite a challenging task – just analyzing several scenes of a script to improve all the text and raise the skill of authors. I was thinking that it’s impossible. But Monika did it in the best way. Step by step she analyzed different stages – dialog, shape and size of scene, portrait of hero, motivations, subtext and context and others – giving brilliant examples from different movies and books. It was a really successful experiment. In the end authors presented theirs scenes on the stage making a great show.
